Andrew Davidson, better known as Sun Control Species, is a progressive trance artist based in Melbourne, Australia. He has been a staple in the Australian trance scene since the early 2000s and has gained recognition for his deep and heartfelt music.
Prior to pursuing his music career, Andrew worked as a commercial sound engineer and producer in Sydney from 1998 to 2000. He eventually decided to follow his passion for music and started the project SCS. Since then, he has become one of the most respected writers in the progressive trance scene down under. Andrew is known for his dedication and attention to detail, putting a lot of effort into every section of his compositions.
He has released music on various progressive labels including Iboga Records, Blue Tunes Records, Divinity Records, Tesseract Studio, Tip Records, Tribal Vision Records, and Zenon Records. His debut album, “Scienza Nuova,” was released in June 2007 on Iboga Records, which solidified his place in the international progressive trance scene.
Now based in Melbourne, Andrew’s countless performances and tireless travels all across Australia’s thriving scene have brought him a solid reputation for the unique style and feel that SCS brings to the table. He has remixed renowned artists such as FREq, Antix, Visua and Behind Blue Eyes. SCS is an all-rounder who’s deep, emotional, and uplifting music has been inspiring people both on and off dance floors for years!
This’ll be one for the history books! The Dancefloor energy is gonna be off the charts!!!
