Afterwards he worked as a sound and light engineer, until he felt ready to commit fully to his own music. In 2007 he released his first track under the name Phaxe on IONO Music.

Phaxe’s music quickly caught attention for its combination of drive and melody, energetic enough for peak-time dance floors, but still emotional, warm, and inviting. His real breakthrough arrived in November of 2008 with the release of the track “Swing King” a tune that spread far beyond expectations and became a defining moment in his career. The track was played widely by DJs across the progressive and psytrance spectrum, helping Phaxe establish himself internationally.
Following its success, his release schedule accelerated and has since released his music with respected labels such as Iboga Records and Spin Twist Records.
A major milestone came in 2013 with the release of his album “Calm Under Pressure”. The album showcased the depth of his musical identity: Melodic, layered, and made with a clear sense of flow. It remains one of the releases that established him firmly as a headline-level artist.

This strong bond eventually led to a label partnership and to deeper involvement with local artists and the Brazilian psychedelic community.

As his career developed, so did his ability and desire to support and provide sparring to the next generation of psychedelic and progressive trance artists and help shape the scene from behind the curtain as well. In May 2022, he co-founded a new record label Magic Moments Records together with Brazilian friend and manager Ralpho Albuquerque. The label became a platform for both established names and emerging talent, reflecting Phaxe’s belief in keeping the scene fresh, open, and community driven and giving the artists a new platform for collaboration and sparring across their individual projects.
