One cold morning, after being behind the decks for hours, He noticed something, His love for music and the scene. After discovering a set of decks in 2007 josh started his journey into the psychedelic genre of psytrance. He then began playing at a few festivals for a few different labels, and decided to go in a different direction.
Having alot of experience by 2009, he decided to change directions in his music and start mixing saw driven, grindy, electro/house. with driving basslines and funky melodies. He played to crowds throughout the Queensland and N.S.W coast. After 2 years he decided to take another direction, and decided to go back to progressive and full on psytrance. After getting back into parties and festivals Josh created Complex theory. He began writing in 2009 and decided in 2013 at “Reality release 1” to finally unleash his ideas, which kick started his journey into playing his LIVE tunes.
Complex theory is driven by driving basslines, funky melodies and rhythmic percussion. He has supported some of the biggest names around the northern N.S.W and continues to play at clubs and parties throughout the North Coast. With compilation on Neva Ending Beats, and a first self title ep in 2025 keep an eye out for Complex Theory.
